Continuing Education Program

The GTI SDG Innovation X-Change is a unique multi-module continuing education program, for innovators, who aim to fully integrate the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in their business and innovation activities.

Beijing (April 13 – 20, 2019)

Context : China has a booming economy which has lifted tens of millions of citizens out of poverty. Yet, China still faces huge development challenges : nearly a billion citizens still live in regions that are in early stages of development. In addition, the country faces huge challenges to supply energy, water & food to the population, while coping with challenges such as pollution, internal migrations & aging. In parallel, the country has initiated a major global development project, the Belt & Road initiative.

In this module participants will learn about:

  • the role of government and official development programs
  • corporate SDG innovation practices
  • the role of venture philanthropy in China
  • case studies of Chinese SDG entrepreneurs

Shenzhen (August 24 – 31, 2019)

Today, Shenzhen has become the global hub for innovation and manufacturing of electronics and hardware. Shenzhen enjoys one of the most dynamic maker and startup communities in the world.

The international Geneva aims to promote radical and sustainable innovations that help fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Learn how to best leverage the unique international environment in Geneva for SDG innovations through impact entrepreneurship & intrapreneurship.
