SDG Summer School 2020: AI for the SDGs
Dates: 6 July – 31 July 2020
Location: SDG Solution Space, Avenue de Sécheron 15, 1202 Geneva, Switzerland
Theme: The 2020 SDG Summer School focuses on “Artificial Intelligence for the Sustainable Development Goals”
UN Partner: In collaboration with the AI for Good Summit, organized by ITU.
Challenges: Students will tackle seven challenges that involve crowdsourcing and AI, proposed by WMO, UNOG, UNCTAD and ITU.
Format: Students will work in multidisciplinary teams guided by mentors from University of Geneva and several International Organisations.
Applicants: The SDG Summer School targets innovative and highly motivated undergraduate (Bachelor) students from all fields of study.
Applications: The Summer School applications are open from 2 March to 27 April 2020. Successful candidates will be informed by 1 May.
Registration fee: CHF 2’000, including local accommodation at a student residence and public transportation in Geneva. Other travel and daily expenses not included.
Prize: Top projects will be invited to participate in SDG innovation events such as UNLEASH, Learning Planet and AI for Good.
